Molecular Therapy and Cancer Research Lab

Curing cancer is one of the research topics funded world wide. In cancer therapy, toxicity in healthy tissue is a common side effect of current treatment modalities and tumor recurrence is almost inevitable. There is therefore an urgent need to develop novel therapies that act in a robust and cancer-selective manner.
In line with this, we focus on exploring new biological markers based on the biological mechanisms of tumor formation and especially recurrence. For this aim we collaborate with both national and international professional cancer researchers with strong expertise in the field. Eventually, our further aim is to develop clinically relevant targeting therapy approaches against cancer and ultimately move the studies from bench side to bed side for patient care.
